Working with Trauma:
The Action Groupskills Intervention
Some children in our schools have encountered situations that are threatening to the life or personal integrity of themselves or others. Their natural reaction may well have been fear, helplessness or horror. These children will find life in school, with its boundaries and high expectations very difficult. They may well find themselves on the wrong side of the school discipline systems too often to remain in school. What can be done with children like these?

A range of Solutions

The Learning Challenge will pull together a project team of the highest calibre and experience in order to develop and lead good practice in your school. Solutions will always involve CPD for your school staff and leave behind sustainable strategies.

Groupwork is our speciality and successful programmes initiated by TLC are working with traumatised children and re-integrating them with the opportunities of schooling. No child is beyond the pale, but interventions have to be thoughtfully designed with all agencies in mind. If you recognise children in your school as traumatised, please contact us to talk about practically re-engaging them.
